Colorverse Sea of Tranquility from Season 1 Spaceward is a medium lime green fountain pen ink with medium shading. It dries in 30 seconds in a medium nib on Rhodia and has an average flow. Colorverse ink is made in Korea.
Mare Tranquillitatis (Latin for Sea of Tranquility) is a lunar mare that sits within the Tranquillitatis basin on the Moon. Lunar maria (singular: mare) are large, dark, basaltic plains on Earth’s Moon, formed by ancient volcanic eruptions. They were dubbed maria, Latin for ‘seas’, by early astronomers who mistook them for actual seas.
Mare Tranquillitatis was the landing site for the first manned landing on the Moon on July 20, 1969. After astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made a soft landing in the Apollo 11 Lunar Module nicknamed Eagle, Armstrong told flight controllers on Earth, “Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed.”
